All Me

We go to school to receive education, education that will further us in our future endeavours and hopefully one day, be a light in our path of success. But what we don't consider is the type of education we are receiving. Who will teach us the more important things in life? Such as patience, tolerance, perseverance, and acceptance. Who's going to teach us how to get along with one another? One of the most important things in life you learn. I understand that our experiences shape us to how we react to others and whether we give them our time, but should that be the only thing? No. It's funny, because when I think about it, it becomes very apparent that life is pretty straightforward. Minus the people. After all, guns don't kill people, people kill people. Differences, time, complications don't break friendships, people break friendships. I would have never thought about this in my early years, but man, i can think about this now. The hardest lesson in life that you learn is that you are not alone. This double meaning. You're going to have to deal with people in your life. Some will break you, some will make you smile, and some will just make you turn the other way. And people are by far the most uncontrollable variable in your life. Think about all the personality dispositions they would possess, their experiences, their history, their dreams. Think about all these things. Even thinking about these for yourself can feel overwhelming, so how are you supposed to consider all these things for another human being? How does your brain cope with all these different factors that make up one individual? Is there a gap somewhere? Do we feel a sense of disconnect sometimes with other humans that cause us to react in such ignorant ways? If so, can this be fixed by giving them more time? Or just moving on with ourselves?
