Thank God for Drake

I think everyone who listens to music, should know who the hell Drake is. Remember that kid in Degrassi we all felt sorry for because he had a psycho girlfriend and legs that couldn't function? Yep, that's Drake. Or Aubrey Drake Graham to be exact. Well, he prefers Drake and I guess...we do too =) So Drake became popular in 2009 with his single 'Best I ever had' And I didn't really know who Drake was at the time of this song release. I remember the first time I heard this song, I was thinking who the hell is this guy? It seems like he's just having a conversation in the song and saying you tha fuckin best over and over again. Then he grew on me and I'm so glad he did. Have you guys seen that smile? Can you say perfection? Ignoring his gorgeous looks, he has swagga. In a lot of his videos, he rarely makes eye contact with the camera, and when he does, it's cuz he knows he's better than you. Yes you. He stares right into your soul...SEXY. He also hasn't been shot 9 times, or served jail time and he even has no tattoos...i know what you're thinking, seriously, who the hell is this guy? Is he even black? Believe it or not he's mixed. But I'm sure we all knew that just by looking at him. Best part is, he's from Canada. Now we can add him to our very short list of musical sensations. He can sing, he can rap, he can act, he can fertilize. What else do girls want in a guy?
All I can say is, thank God for the offspring of bi-racial
relationships.

Thank you for the lesson

  A long time ago I came across some words of wisdom which explained the importance of forgiveness. At that stage in my life, I was completely anti forgiveness. I still understand why, and though I’d like to say my views on said topic have changed, I’d be slightly lying. I’m very good at blocking things out of my life, that’s how I cope. But every once in a blue moon, you get an unnecessary, by chance reminder. And it kinda takes you to mental head space you had kept far away. A few (many) words that I want to say to my past self; “You knew better. How could you allow it time after time? You wasted your time investing energy and effort into a dead end. Feels dumb doesn’t it? Everything that was said, was said to break you, all excuses, immaturity and white noise. Realize it and understand.
