Who says girls can't play video games?

So one day you decide that you're gonna play video games. The problem is, you don't have a console. No problem. After going through the various options, you decide to buy an xbox 360. You buy a decent game to play [halo3,cod2,left4dead] Oh and you don't forget to purchase a year's subscription of xbox live. Now you're officially a brand new member on xbox live, you choose your avatar, what she wears, you update your gamer card and sign into xbox live. Upon entering the online portion of the gaming world, you plug in your mic to say hi to the gamers out there. First response "are you a chick?" Now tell me, why is that such a big deal. YES I'm a chick and I play video games...what is so surprising. Granted we may not be as good at these games compared to other guys but if we practice, we can sure as hell get up there. Now I'm no feminist but seriously, chicks can play video games. Why? For all the reasons guys play video games.

And what's even more funny is that guys online just assume that because you're a chick who's playing video games, you're either:

a. unattractive, or
b. morbidly obese.

Not all chicks who play video games are attractive but there definetely are some. I'm just sayin'. Plus, aren't we allowed to assume that those gazillion guys who are playing are also either nerdy, overweight, or ugly? I would say that it's a strong possibility. So girls, it's perfectly OK to play video games just as much as guys, and if all else fails, you can always woo the guys online by writing dirty slogans...cuz they'll come to you faster than you can say surprise butt sex.

Thank you for the lesson

  A long time ago I came across some words of wisdom which explained the importance of forgiveness. At that stage in my life, I was completely anti forgiveness. I still understand why, and though I’d like to say my views on said topic have changed, I’d be slightly lying. I’m very good at blocking things out of my life, that’s how I cope.
