Why sometimes not going on facebook is a good thing.

I'm sure everyone's heard of the social networking site called [Facebook]. It was started by some dude who got extremely rich because the site exploded with people and became really popular. I joined facebook a bit after the crowd because initially I was thinking that I'm not going to follow the herd. But sooner than later, I succumbed to peer pressure and created an account. And here I am 3 years later, debating on whether I should delete or deactivate my account.
I came to this decision because I realized how mentally retarded facebook can be. First things first, people on facebook post their pictures for everyone to see. And what's even more creepy, is that EVERYONE goes through everyone elses pictures. Whether they comment, like or dislike your pictures, they are still being the creepy stalker that they are and looking through them. I have to say that is just weird. I'm proud to say that I don't go through other people's pictures. I've passed through that phase. Actually, I barely go on facebook. I feel that it's just a more intense way to spy on people. Because all of us know that in reality, we don't actually have 500 friends, but on facebook, apparently we do.  The concept of the mini-feed is the nosiest mo-fo I've seen in a while. It is constantly updating your account to show recent status', wall posts, pictures, videos of other people. People who you don't want to be updated on are always appearing there. People who put obsene status' seem to always be on my mini-feed. Seriously people? Seriously?!
After examining most of the features facebook has to offer, I think the only benefit that I find facebook offers is that it allows you to keep in touch with people who you don't see on a regular basis. It allows you to communicate with your friends who live far from you or your friends from elementary school. Some people find the games on facebook appealing, and as much as I like tower blocks and bejeweled, there are OTHER gaming sites to be explored! This in no way is a hate message to all you facebook lovers. It's merely my opinion about the site. So please, try not to write "I hate Fatchikk" on your facebook status.
